Chansung of K-pop boy group 2PM is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend next year.
The singer made the announcement to his fans on Instagram on Wednesday, saying: “We have been seeing each other for a long time and she is the person who I rely on.”
He added that they are expecting a baby. “While my girlfriend and I were preparing for our wedding, the blessing of a new life came to us faster than we expected. Given that my girlfriend is in the early stages of pregnancy, I am very cautious about delivering this news, but I thought I had to let you know as soon as possible. But I will not disclose more details about her because she is not a celebrity,” he wrote.
Chansung also revealed that he would soon leave his management company, JYP Entertainment, which has represented him for 15 years.
“My contract with the agency is set to end in January,” he said. “Following an in-depth discussion, I decided not to renew the contract and to pioneer my own path … I will continue to do my best to put on a good performance as part of 2PM and as an actor.”
